We are incredibly proud to share that Jesse Giordano, CFP®, CAP®, RLP®, CEBC®, Financial Advisor and Principal at Opal Wealth Advisors, has been named one of three national finalists for the 2026 Invest in Others Community Service Award.
Jesse is being recognized for his extraordinary leadership and long-standing service to Blood Cancer United, formerly known as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. While this honor recognizes the tremendous impact Jesse has made as a volunteer, fundraiser and nonprofit leader, his connection to the organization is also deeply personal.
Jesse is a childhood blood cancer survivor. At just eight years old, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy. That experience, and the support he and his family received during an extraordinarily difficult time, has continued to shape his outlook on life, leadership and service.
For Jesse, supporting Blood Cancer United is not simply a charitable commitment. It is a personal mission to help create a future in which more children, adults and families can benefit from lifesaving treatments, compassionate support and, ultimately, cures.
Over the years, Jesse has devoted significant time, energy and leadership to advancing that mission. He previously served as chair of the organization’s Long Island Board of Trustees and has played an active role in numerous fundraising campaigns and community initiatives. In 2020, Jesse was named the Long Island Chapter’s Man of the Year and a national runner-up after raising more than $437,000 in just 10 weeks. He has also served as a fundraising coach, helping others find meaningful ways to engage their networks and increase their impact.
About the Invest in Others Awards
The Invest in Others Awards are among the financial advice profession’s most respected honors for community leadership and philanthropy. The program recognizes financial advisors who use their time, talent, resources and leadership abilities to create meaningful and lasting change through nonprofit organizations.
Candidates are evaluated on the depth of their dedication, leadership, contributions, ability to inspire others and overall impact on the nonprofit and the community it serves. The Community Service Award specifically recognizes an advisor who has made an outstanding
impact through at least three years of nonprofit leadership, while also helping support the organization’s long-term sustainability and motivating others to become involved.
Being selected as one of only three Community Service finalists nationwide places Jesse among a highly distinguished group of financial advisors whose work extends far beyond their professional responsibilities.
The recognition is especially meaningful as Invest in Others celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Since its founding, the organization has supported more than 700 charities and awarded more than $8 million in grants to nonprofits serving communities across the country.
As a finalist, Jesse has secured a $25,000 grant for Blood Cancer United. Should he be named the 2026 Community Service Award recipient, the organization will receive a total grant of $75,000. The award recipients will be announced at the Invest in Others Awards Gala on September 17, 2026, in Boston.
Those of us who work alongside Jesse know that this recognition reflects the same qualities he brings to Opal every day: empathy, perseverance, generosity and a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Please join all of us at Opal Wealth Advisors in congratulating Jesse on this well-deserved national recognition. We are tremendously proud of him and will be cheering him on in September.
